Formulas are simply a great tool to quickly derive useful metrics in the context of analyses over time - however, they may unleash way more value if extended to the rest of TSCO's analytical capabilities:
- ability to store a formula as a new derived metric, and take advantage of all the NRW features (e.g. derivation of custom stats)
- ability to use a formula in every kind of Analysis and Model instantiable - e.g. correlation analyses, models; this request may get automatically met if a formula could get promoted to being a metric.
- ability to invoke an existing formula in a data mart - would save time coding the same results in SQL; as per above, this request may get automatically met if a formula could get promoted to being a metric.
Customized Hierarchy Templates may be an option as well, but as far as I know are not to be considered supported.
