Something that we struggle with in Track-it 11.4 is integrating a service catalog.
I would like to see a service catalog component as a part of Track it. I think it could be expanded into the category system, and self-service portal.
We use the following categories for our service catalog,
Business Services – Services published to the Business. i.e. accounting software solution.
Technical services - non Published services that directly support the Business Service. i.e. Simply account
Core Services - Fundamental Services that support Technical services, i.e. Active Directory or windows server, etc.
I think it would add a lot of value to have this integrated into the front end as a web based catalog for users to select and create tickets from. As well as an administrator’s tool to support the infrastructure.
