The latest version of BMC Performance Manager Express Monitoring Studio is now available to download. It includes many new features and improvements as well as several fixed issues, such as:

  • BMC Performance Manager Express Monitoring Studio fully supports for SNMP v2c and v3
  • Web request failures on secured website can now be prevented
  • The value of the Last Modified parameter of the Studio - LOG File Monitoring and Analysis application class was miscalculated when transitioning from the month of February to March

We are pleased to announce the release of the latest versions of our NetApp Filers Monitoring Solutions:

  • Support for Data ONTAP API v8.3.x.

It includes many new features and improvements as well as several fixed issues, such as:

  • New connectors available:
    • Pure Storage FA Series (SSH) to monitor Pure Storage FA Series via SSH,
    • QLogic HBAs - ESX to monitor QLogic HBA adapters on ESX server,
    • EMC Isilon to monitor EMC Isilon systems.
  • Oracle/Sun Solaris 11 servers : Overall CPU and memory status monitored
  • Workload reduced on the EMC SMI-S Provider

The latest version of BMC Performance Manager Express Monitoring Studio 2.9.20 is now available to download. It includes many new features and improvements as well as several fixed issues, such as:

  • Support for JBoss Application Server v5, 6, and 7
  • Support for SQL queries on Sybase databases
  • Support for SSL encryption for SQL queries on Microsoft SQL servers
  • Easier authentication using key file when connecting to UNIX servers

The latest version of BMC Performance Manager Express for Hardware is now available to download. It includes:

New connectors:

  • IBM AIX - usysfault: Reports the status of the System Attention LED and triggers an alert when this LED is turned on.
  • IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC): Monitors the overall health of IBM AIX servers through the Hardware Management Console (HMC).
  • HDS USP/VSP Storage Systems: Reports on the status of Hitachi HDS USP/VSP Storage Systems.

Improvements:

  • The SMI-S Compliant HBAs connector now reports on link speed and statistics.
  • The property propertynet.sentrysoftware.bpm.hardware.disabledConnectors can now be applied to all hosts.

Fixed Issues:

  • Logical Disk (LUN) monitoring is no longer performed with the SMI-S HBA Connector to avoid duplicate LUN instances.
  • HP Servers Running ESX: Disk controllers and their batteries are now properly discovered even when no information on their model or serial number is available.
  • IBM AIX Servers:
    • The monitoring of the network cards could cause network delays.
    • Power failures were not detected on IBM AIX servers. To solve this issue, the IBM AIX - Common connector has been updated and two new connectors have been created: IBM AIX - usysfault and IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC).

This new version includes many more new features and enhancements.

The latest version of Monitoring Studio KM for PATROL is now available to download. It includes many new features and improvements as well as several fixed issues, such as:

 

  • Full support of PATROL Agent v9 and higher.
  • Database queries can now be performed on Postgre SQL databases with the Database Query Analysis tool. The connection method to be used is either the command line utility or the Java Database Connectivity.
  • The JMX tool now supports the following MBean application servers:
    • JBoss 5.x, 6.x, 7.x, and EAP6.
    • JOnAS 5.x.
    • Websphere 8.x.
    • WebLogic 11 and 12c.

Sentry Software releases BMC Atrium Orchestrator for Symantec NetBackup, a new adapter that leverages the Symantec NetBackup infrastructure to automate server provisioning workflows.

This adapter enables IT professionals to:

  • Collect their environment details
  • Execute any generic Symantec NetBackup commands
  • Activate or deactivate policies
  • Add clients to a policy
  • Start client backups.

An out-of-the box scenario is also provided to test client backup restore.
