Description

This webinar was held originally on August 29th, 2018. The recording can be found here. Documentation for the topics covered can be found here and here.

Webinar details:

TrueSight Synthetic Monitor is used to predict application health and user experience. Synthetic Monitor enables you to manage the performance and reliability of your applications by executing complex business transactions and monitoring performance and functional behavior.

Synthetic Monitor works by running scripts that simulate user transactions. These scripts are run on agents that test the application's performance. The information is then collected and processed so you can see the results in TrueSight App Visibility Manager, and use this information to predict any problems that might occur.

Synthetic Monitor generates events based on a system of metrics and metric rules. In this webinar, Thad White and Todd Brady will explain the concepts behind setting rules and offer best practices for consolidating rules. Fewer rules that do more work means easier maintenance and migrations. Users of all skill levels and familiarity with TrueSight are welcome. The session will be short, have a hands-on demo instead of slides, and be interactive. Time will be provided for attendees to ask questions and/or share their own best practices with other customers. Participation is encouraged! This webinar is part of a series of 'best practice' sessions to help you get more value out of your TrueSight investment.
