Description

This webinar was held originally on August 15th, 2018. The recording can be found here. More video content related to custom views can be found here and here.

Webinar details:

Smart groups are collections of objects whose membership is defined by object properties. You can create smart groups for most types of objects in TrueSight Server Automation, including servers, jobs, and depot objects. For example, you could define a smart group that contains all servers with operating system = "Windows". The group would dynamically update as you add or remove Windows servers.

In this webinar, Sumeet Hemnani and Amit Gupta will explain the basic concept behind smart groups and walk you through a few examples of setting up and using smart groups. They will share best practices and also discuss 'nesting' - putting smart groups inside of smart groups - which allows you to define hierarchies based on object properties.

Users of all skill levels and familiarity with TrueSight are welcome. The session will be short, have a hands-on demo instead of slides, and be interactive. Time will be provided for attendees to ask questions and/or share their own best practices with other customers. Participation is encouraged! This webinar is part of a series of 'best practice' sessions to help you get more value out of your TrueSight investment.
