Event has ended
For a number of releases now, TrueSight Operations Mgmt has come with dynamic baselining turned on 'out of the box' for a set of pre-defined TrueSight Infrastructure Mgmt metric KPIs collected by Patrol agents. Dynamic baselining is a feature of performance monitoring where TrueSight uses analytics and machine learning on the past performance of an individual metric to create an expected performance profile for the future. As this is done continuously and the system adapts to changes, the forecasted performance increases in accuracy over time with more data and updates as metric behavior changes. TrueSight can then use the baseline to determine when a metric is outside of its 'normal' behavior (an abnormality) and alert you accordingly (create an event).
Dynamic baselining makes it possible to move away from manually setting alerts based on static thresholds. Users don't need to do anything to set or adjust dynamic baselines. However, there are a number of options available when configuring what will count as an abnormality and configuring what, if any, kind of event should be generated. In this webinar, Thad White, Technical Marketing Lead, will show:

- Simple configuration options for abnormalities
- Creating events from abnormalities
- Compound abnormality criteria
Users of all skill levels and familiarity with TrueSight are welcome. The session will be short, have a hands-on demo instead of slides, and be interactive. Ample time will be provided for attendees to ask questions and/or share their own best practices with other customers.
