    AR System

    APPLIES TO:

Remedy AR System Server v8.x, v9.x

    QUESTION:

I want to monitor the growth of data in my AR System. How can I get a count of the number of records in each form so I can see which ones are huge and which ones are growing?

    ANSWER:

Attached are two database scripts, one for SQL Server and one for Oracle.
These scripts can be run from a database prompt or query window to get a list of the forms and how many records they contain.

The list is sorted by the number of records, with the highest being on top

The results look like this example below:

    schemaIdschemanamerowcounter
    58Server Statistics3773828
    1070SHR:Union_DataSource_FormFieldLookup288316
    3588Time Entry40306
    1449CFG:Geography City24131

For SQL Server only (not applicable for Oracle)

    sp_spaceused (Transact-SQL)
Displays the number of rows, disk space reserved, and disk space used by a table, indexed view, or Service Broker queue in the current database, or displays the disk space reserved and used by the whole database.
