Can I manage the Control-M Workload Archiving Database with command line utilities?

    ANSWER:

You are indeed able to manage your Control-M Workload Archiving Database with Control-M command line utilities.

    On Unix/Linux:
Our built-in Control-M/EM database utilities can be used for the Workload Archiving database by adding the "arc" prefix. You must be logged in as the Workload Archiving user for you to be able to execute these commands. Below are some examples of the commands available.
arc DBUStart -  This command will start your Workload Archiving database.
arc DBUStop - This command will stop your Workload Archiving database.
arc DBUArchive - This command can be used to set your database archiving mode to off or on.
arc DBUHotBackup - This command can be used to generate a hot backup of your database.

    On Windows:
The built-in Windows Control-M/EM database utilities for Workload Archiving database can be found under the following directory:
    {EM_HOME}\archive\bin\DBUtils

To see a full list of available EM database utilities, please visit the Control-M/EM documentation website.
