    CAUSE:

The AG_AM_COMM_PORT port was blocked and not available or in use by other process

    SOLUTION:

    - Executes 'regedit' from command prompt to open Windows Registry editor
    - Navigates to registry tree "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\BMC Software\Control-M/Agent\AM_CONFIG"
    - Open the parameter: AG_AM_COMM_PORT
    - Change the default value 12001 to another free port
    - Exit Registry Editor
    - Restart the Control-M/Agent services for the change to take effect.

NOTE: Editing the Windows registry incorrectly may have unintended impact on Windows machine. Please contact Windows administrator for assistance to make the above change if unsure.
