    PRODUCT:

    Control-M for Advanced File Transfer

    COMPONENT:

    Control-M/CM for Advanced File Transfer

    APPLIES TO:

Control-M for Advanced File Transfer 8.0.00

    PROBLEM:

A file transfer (AFT) job is defined to set an AutoEdit variable to the detected file name in the "Advanced" section of the job definition.
That variable is referenced in the Post execution Command of the same job.

When the post-execution command executes, the filename variable will not have been updated in accordance with the "Advanced" section of the job definition.

    CAUSE:

CAR00119611 - User can't use AutoEdit containing detected file name in the POSTCMD of the same job Setting of the AFT filename variable does not finish before Post-execution command starts

    SOLUTION:

Currently the assigned defect is not scheduled to be included in an upcoming fixpack.

As an interim workaround, define an OS job as a successor to the AFT job and run the post command via the OS job.
