How to troubleshoot Remedy integration with Control-M?

    QUESTION:

    How to troubleshoot issues with the integration of Control-M with Remedy?


     


    ANSWER:

    1. Check that the fields defined in the RemedyConf.xml file match with the required fields of the Remedy form used

    2. When defining a "RemedyField" in the RemedyConf.xml, you should verify the ID and the Datatype for the default value variable. These parameters may found via the Field Properties in Remedy, under the 'Database' and the 'Attributes' tabs.

    3. If further issues are encountered, run the following command from the Control-M/Server User Account

      ctmremedy -TEST Summary Description L -DEBUG 4

    and provide to Control-M Support  copies of
    - \data\REMEDY\RemedyConf.xml file
    - a screenshot of the Fields Properties in Remedy
    - and the Control-M/Server Data Collector or the contents of the $CONTROLM_SERVER/ctm_server/proclog directory.
