    PRODUCT:

    Control-M for Databases

    COMPONENT:

    Control-M for Databases

    APPLIES TO:

Control-M for Databases for all versions DB2

    PROBLEM:

Validating a DB2 profile in the Control-m Configuration Manager  for Control-M for Databases gives one of the following  errors :

    #1

[jcc][t4][10109][10354][3.53.95] The version of the IBM Universal JDBC driver in use is not licensed for connectivity to QDB2 databases.

To connect to this server, please obtain a licensed copy of the IBM DB2 Universal Driver for JDBC and SQLJ.

An appropriate license file db2jcc_license_*.jar for this target platform must be installed to the application class path.

Connectivity to QDB2 databases is enabled by any of the following license files: [ db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar ]. ERRORCODE=-4472, SQLSTATE=42968

#2  Failed to validate XXXXXXXX account

[jcc][t4][10509][13454][4.19.26] Connection to the data server failed. The IBM Data Server for JDBC and SQLJ license was invalid

or was not activated for the DB2 for z/OS subsystem. If you are connecting directly to

the data server and using DB2 Connect Unlimited Edition for System z, perform the

activation step by running the activation program in the license activation kit.

If you are using any other edition of DB2 Connect, obtain the license file,

db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar, from the license activation kit, and follow the installation

directions to include the license file in the class path. ERRORCODE=-4230, SQLSTATE=42968

    CAUSE:

This issue can occur when an upgrade is done, as it replaces the DriverList.xml file and uses the latest driver jar file which may not be compatible with older versions of DB2.

    SOLUTION:

When using the DB2 connector for Control-M for Databases, verify that a license file is installed properly as described in
    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21413734.
