BMC Helix Remedyforce : SmartSync tab is not Visible in Sandbox in Remedyforce Administration tab

    PROBLEM:

    SmartSync tab is not Visible in Sandbox in Remedyforce Administration tab.
     


    CAUSE:

    BMCSYSProperties and Remedyforce values in custom setting were not created in Sandbox due a custom validation rule


    SOLUTION:

     

    ***This solution is customer specific.***

    Custom settings are created automatically when clicked on Remedyforce Admintration tab:
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Issue resolved by checking the two points below .
    Part A: Custom validation rule issue.

    1. Disable the Validation Rule.
    2. Click the Remedyforce Administration tab.
    3. Wait 30 minutes (This will allow time for the scripts that create the custom setting to run)
    4. Enable the Validation Rule.
    5. Verify SmartSync is visible in the Remedyforce Administration tab.

    Part B: There is a custom field which is marked as required on the Urgency and Impact object.
    Made the field as not required resolved the issue.
