    QUESTION:

    How do I handle an intermittent Winsock 10061 or System 10061 error in my monitor script?

    ANSWER:

    Legacy ID:KA323697

    Some errors that where previously reported as Winsock errors are now reported as System errors e.g.

    WinSock: 10061 - Connection refused, host="rlogan2:80", attempts=3

    is now reported as

    SYSTEM: 10061 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

    Since the problem is intermittent it can be difficult to track down.  Some customers have opted to ignore the error.

    To modify the severity using the ErrorAdd function in previous versions meant using this format

    ErrorAdd(FACILITY_WINSOCK, 10061, SEVERITY_INFORMATIONAL);

    However as 10061 errors can now be reported as a SYSTEM errors and there is no parameter for FACILITY_SYSTEM listed in the Help use following format instead

    ErrorAdd(NULL, 10061, SEVERITY_TRANS_EXIT);

    i.e. replace the FACILITY parameter with NULL
    =config 10061 to be info
    Or, instead of altering the code you can change the profile settings.
    Settings->Active Profile->Record->Simulation->Errors->Then selcet System 10061 and change the Custom Severity to Informational
