    APPLIES TO:

All releases of CATALOG MANAGER for DB2

    QUESTION:

What commands or options in CATALOG MANAGER require TRACE, MONITOR1 or MONITOR2 authorizations?

    ANSWER:

If you receive authorization warning messages from DB2 while in CATALOG MANAGER, these are the options
or commands that will initiate these warnings.

    TRACE:
CATOP=Y will cause CATALOG MANAGER to start a TRACE.
This option indicates whether to perform the installation SYSADM check
when CATALOG MANAGER is initialized (Y or N). Selecting Y starts a DB2
    trace.

Note: We do not recommend setting this option to N if you plan to use the REVOKE
    or CASCADE commands.

      TRACE and MONITOR1 or MONITOR2
The DSNZPARM command requires TRACE and MONITOR1 or MONITOR2 authorizations.
