    QUESTION:

    Pentaho Unable to Connect to Salesforce for Remedyforce LDAP integration. java.net.ssl.SSLException: Unrecognized SSL message, plaintext connection


    ANSWER:

    The proxy is blocking the connection to Salesforce.

    The proxy will need to be configured to allow Pentaho to reach na##.salesforce.com

    Create a whitelist of Salesforce IPs for the proxy.  Here is a link to the Salesforce IP list: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000003652&type=1
