    PROBLEM:

    "Asset Admin" permission group does not give access to modify configuration items. All fields are read only for users without fill "Administrator" permssions.

    SOLUTION:

    Open the "Role" form and make sure that for the application "Remedy Asset Management" you see the "CMDB Data Change Group" iin the Production field.  If it is not there, add it in and save.  If you receive a 1592 error upon saving, open the Group form, and search for Group "CMDB Data Change Group".   Make a small change by removing Group from the name, saving, then adding it back and saving.  This should cause a re-caching of the Group in the group_cache table.

       

    Go back to the Role form, and the group should show in the menu. Map it to the Role and save.
