    PROBLEM:

Configure Business Entity including Business Time Segment Configuration. Here is an example for Business Time Segment Configuration.

    SOLUTION:

To define regular working hours from Monday to Friday (8am until 6pm) then we would ideally have the following segments

    1) A level 1 available segment recurring weekly with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday checked, with the start time at 08:00:00 and the end time at 17:59:59. The first date would be a little in the past and the second one would be quite a lot in the future

    2) A level 2 unavailable segment recurring weekly with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday checked, with the start time at 00:00:00 and the end time at 07:59:59. The same dates as before.

    3) A level 2 unavailable segment recurring weekly with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday checked, with the start time at 18:00:00 and the end time at 23:59:59 (note this can be achieved using "end of day" checkbox). The same dates as before.

    4) A level 2 unavailable segment recurring weekly with Saturday and Sunday checked, with the start time at 00:00:00 and the end time at 23:59:59 (note this can be achieved using "end of day" checkbox). The same dates as before.

    5) Regarding holidays, you can create the same level or higher (preferable) unavailable segment recurring on specified dates with multiple holiday dates separated by semi-colons, with the start time at 00:00:00 and the end time at 23:59:59 (note this can be achieved using "end of day" checkbox).

In the above example it would be OK not to have the level 1 segment since time which is not defined will be assumed to be available. Note also that in the example we could not cross midnight using a recurring segment so had to define 2 unavailable segments for non-business hours time.
