    BMC is alerting users to a problem in the following products for the IBM® IMS™
    environment:

    Potential IMS Control Region ABEND S0C4 in module DLAXCM3x when deleting and adding back hundreds of trans (SMBs)

      

    CQE entries associated with DELETE requests were still pointing to SMB control blocks and the IPAGE had been cleaned up by IMS and freed.

    Resolution

      

    Changes have been made in CQE processing in DLAXCM3x to avoid accessing SMB control block addresses in CQE entries associated with DELETE tran requests.

      
      The following table provides information about the PTF that resolves this issue:

      You must restart the IMS Control region (any kind of restart) to make the PTF change effective.
