    COMPONENT:

    Cloud Lifecycle Management

    APPLIES TO:

BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 4.6 or higher

    PROBLEM:

When trying to perform an unqualified search on Cloud Remedy AR System Form (e.g.: BMC.CORE:BMC_ServiceOfferingInstance), the following error is thrown:

"An unqualified search was issued and the server has been configured to disallow unqualified searches . You must specify some search criteria to perform a search on this form (ARERR 361)"

    SOLUTION:

    Legacy ID:KA360257

This specific error occurs when you do a blank search on Cloud Remedy AR System Forms and AR System Server is configured to disallow unqualified searches .

    How to remediate:
1 Login to Cloud Remedy AR System through Mid-Tier (e.g.: http://<Mid-Tier Host Name>:<port>/arsys) with Admin Account (e.g.: Demo)
    2 Go to Home Page
3 Click on AR System Administration Console
    4 General-> Server Information
    5 Click on Configuration Tab
6 Verify the Check box value for the field "Allow Unqualified Searches"

    Description :
Allow Unqualified Searches: Defines whether the server accepts unqualified searches (searches for which no search criteria are specified).
If the check box is Selected (Default): All database searches are allowed.
If the check box is Cleared: You force users to enter a search criteria when performing queries.

Note: Consider restricting unqualified searches to prevent the performance penalty of
retrieving and returning large blocks of data because of accidental unqualified
    searches to the database.
