You must belong to the 'Asset Admin' permission group in order to be able to create Configuration Items. The form will be closed. You can access it again in either Search or Modify modes. (ARWARN 44866)

      Error when trying to create a CI with only Incident, Problem and Change apps installed

      Asset Inventory (which is a sub-set of Asset Management) ships with Incident, Problem and Change Management applications.  Asset Inventory sits on top of CMDB and is the primary interface for users to access CI records from ITSM apps.   

     The permission "Asset Admin" is a requirement for a user to be able to submit a CI.  To fix this give his user "Asset Admin" permission, with License Type of "None" from the People form.
