    PRODUCT:

BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring - Software Edition

    COMPONENT:

    TrueSight Analyzer

    APPLIES TO:

BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring 11.x

    PROBLEM:

The End User Experience Monitor (EUEM) Analyzer may be reporting a high data delay.  For instance the data delay may be larger than 3 minutes.

    CAUSE:

    Lack of Resources, NTP Tmezone

    SOLUTION:

    Possible causes:
    1) The Analyzer and Collector may not be setup to properly use a Network Time Protocol (NTP) synchronization server.
    Solution:
Configure NTP using the below link:
    https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/tsavm113/Setting+the+time+zone+on+the+Real+User+Analyzer+and+Collector

Note - If the version is not 11.3.01, then search the correct version of the BMC documentation for this page:
"Setting the time zone on the Real User Analyzer and Collector"

    2) The Analyzer and/or Collector may not have enough resources to properly process the traffic load.
    Solution:
See the below link to properly size the system based on Hits per Second:
    https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/TSOMD113/Sizing+Real+User+Analyzer+instances

Note - If the version is not 11.3.01, then search the correct version of the BMC documentation for this page:
    "Sizing Real User Analyzer instances"

If the system does not meet the above requirements, then reinstallation will be necessary to add resources to the EUEM components.
Note - If the components need to be reinstalled, then historical data will be lost.  However, it is possible to backup the configuration, watchpoints, and accounts.  Refer to this the below link on how to do those steps:

    https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/TSOMD113/Preparing+to+upgrade+the+Real+End+User+Experience+Monitoring+Software+Edition+components

Note - If the version is not 11.3.01, then search the correct version of the BMC documentation for this page:
"Preparing to upgrade the Real End User Experience Monitoring Software Edition components"
