Remedy AR System Mid Tier - [ARERR 9506] Unable to Display Form' error encountered on a specific form by a specific user

    PROBLEM:

     

    A specific user is unable to access specific form from Mid-Tier (form accessible for other users).   The ARERR 9506 error is displayed

    A network capture or Fiddler capture shows:

      

    HTTP Status 500 - <...> The server encountered an internal error that prevented it from fulfilling this request.<...>java.lang.NullPointerException

    CAUSE:

    Corrupted records in the AR System Searches Preference for that particular user.


    SOLUTION:

     

    It is possible that the search records for this user are corrupted in AR System Searches Preference form.
    In order to clear these records:
    1.- Navigate to AR System Administration Console.
    2.- Expand User Preferences, and select "Search User Search Preferences".
    3.- Search the user, select all given records for that user, then click on "Delete".
