    BMC Remedy OnDemand

    PROBLEM:

    Reconciliation does not process bulk loaded data populated to CMDB on Remedy OnDemand server due to conflict with Max Entries Returned by GetList configuration.

    Environment: BMC Remedy OnDemand 2012.01 (8.0).

    SOLUTION:

    Legacy ID:KA362312

    (Before applying fix, take backup of required Files or Database)

    Verify the configured value of "Max Entries Returned by GetList" is not set to a value lower than the number of unidentified CIs in any class to be processed by the Reconciliation job. 'Max Entries Returned By GetList' is configured by the administrator to prevent end users from impacting performance by running queries which return a very large number of records. However, the Reconciliation Engine can also be impacted by this setting - preventing it from retrieving and processing unidentified CIs.

    To determine the value of 'Max Entries Returned By GetList':-
    ======================
    1. Access AR System Administration Console
    2. From the Configuration page, determine the value of 'Max Entries Returned By GetList'

    To determine the number of unidentified CIs, search on CI's where 'ReconciliationIdentity' = "0"
    ======================

    To work around the issue, perform one of the following:-
    =======================
    1. 'Max Entries Returned By GetList' to 0 (zero) temporarily, to allow reconciliation to complete.
    2. Set an environment variable RE_ID_LOAD_CHUNK_SIZE to an integer which is smaller than the value of 'Max Entries Returned By GetList' (which is denoted by Max-Entries-By-Query in the ar.cfg file on the server). Since this setting must be set at the server, submit a request for the change.
