    PROBLEM:

    How to get the "Notification Group" menu for Contract populate?

    LP: BMC Service Level Management 7.6.00
    DR: BMC Service Level Management 7.6.00

    Details: I cannot create contract. Notification Group menu is empty and I cannot find out where I need to set a group to make it show up on this menu. Do I need to modify a form to get this to work correctly. We do have asset management installed and groups do show up there, but not on the SLM Contract. Please advise.

    Issue Summary: Cannot create contract. Notification Group menu is empty.

    SOLUTION:

    Legacy ID:KA352967

    "CTM:SGP:VendorSupportGroup-Q" is a menu that takes value from "CTM:Support Group" alias "Support Group" form depending on following Qualification:
    ('Company' = $1000000396$) AND ('Support Organization' = $1000003662$) AND ('Status' = "Enabled") AND ('Vendor Group' = "Yes")
    It will pull "Support Group Name" for records which match the above Qualification.

    Now the field ID 1000000396 is for "Supplier Name" on the "SLM:Contract" form which gets populated by menu "COM:CPY:Company=Oper/Supplier-Q"
    "COM:CPY:Company=Oper/Supplier-Q" is a menu that takes value from "COM:Company" alias "Company" from depending on following Qualification:
    ('Status' = "Enabled") AND ('Company Type' LIKE "%Supplier%")
    It will pull "Company" for records which match above Qualification.

    The field ID 1000003662 is for "Support Organization" on the "SLM:Contract" form which gets populated by menu "CTM:SGP:VendorSupportOrganization-Q"
    "CTM:SGP:VendorSupportOrganization-Q" is a menu that takes value from "CTM:Support Group" alias "Support Group" form depending on following Qualification:
    ('Company' = $1000000396$) AND ('Status' = "Enabled") AND ('Vendor Group' = "Yes")
    It will pull "Support Organization" for records matching above Qualification.

    So the Summary:
    1. You must have a record the form "Company" or "COM:Company" with:
    Status = Enabled
    Type = Supplier

    -2. You must have a record on the form "Support Group" or "CTM:Support Group" with
    Support Company = (Company you created on COM:Company)
    Vendor Group = Yes
    Status = Enabled

    3. Now this above record (point 2) will be reflected in "Notification Group" menu on the SLM:Contract form.

    Note: Make sure you have the following in the form SLM:ConfigContractMenus:

    Company = COM:CPY:Company=Oper/Cust-Q
    Organization = CTM:POR:Organization-Q
    Department = CTM:POR:Department-Q
    Contract Terms = SLM:SampleContractTermsType
    Cost Center = SHR:CostCenterAllForCompany
    Supplier Name = COM:CPY:Company=Oper/Supplier-Q
    Supplier Organization = CTM:SGP:VendorSupportOrganization-Q
    Supplier Group = CTM:SGP:VendorSupportGroup-Q
    Notification Group = CTM:SGP:VendorSupportGroup-Q
    Notification Contact = CTM:SGL:Assignee-AST-02
    Click Save.
