TSSA/BSA: BladeLogic Unified Agent Installer on windows throws error: Remote Host authentication connection timed out

    PROBLEM:

     

    The Truesight Server Automation (TSSA/BSA) Unified Agent Installer fails on Windows. It fails during the Remote host authentication part throwing the error:

      

    Failed to validate against server..

      

    failed to connect <remote server name>..

      

    connection timed out.
     

     


    SOLUTION:

    RESOLUTION: Unified Agent installer needs certain ports to be open. For eg.

    Check the firewall rules and make sure the TCP port 445 is open for WIndows. Check the documentation for a full list of required ports:
