TSIM and TSPS Communication Fails with Error Initialization Error

    PROBLEM:

    TSIM and TSPS Communication Fails with Error Initialization Error. The following is seen in the log:

    ERROR 10/26 08:50:48.627 [NGPMessageAPI JMS Connection Monitoring] c.b.s.n.s.m.i.NGPJMSConnection BMC_TS-PL000043E JNDI API lookup of ConnectionFactory failed: [{}]
    javax.naming.CommunicationException: null
    Caused by: java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: XXXX; nested exception is:


    CAUSE:

    Exception while connecting to TSIM from TSPS RMI port of ActiveMQ causing the connection failure.


    SOLUTION:

    1:Add/Update the line for RmiPort in <TSIM_HOME>/pw/jboss/server/minimal_jms/conf/jboss-service.xml file on TSIMs

    o <attribute name="Port">1100</attribute>
    o <attribute name="RmiPort">2100</attribute>
    " Note : Any arbitrary available port which is open.
    o <attribute name="BindAddress">${jboss.bind.address}</attribute>

    2:Restart TSIM

    3:Delete TSIM from TSPS console

    4:Stop the TSPS and start it

    5:Login on TSPS and re-add TSIM as component.
