    PRODUCT:

    MainView for DB2

    APPLIES TO:

    MainView for DB2

    PROBLEM:

    MainView for DB2 10.1.00
    MainView for DB2 11.1.00

When executing the job which binds the PSS0SQL package it fails when running DB2 V10 in CM9 mode. From the MainView for DB2 documentation, the PSS0SQL package can only be bound with DB2 V10 ENFM at the minimum.

When the Explain is executed in MainView for DB2, the following SQL error messages occur:

DSNT408I SQLCODE = -805, ERROR:  DBRM OR PACKAGE NAME BP063ATP01DSP..PSS0SQL-
.18ED3648030C061A NOT FOUND IN PLAN DAA101D1. REASON 03
    DSNT418I SQLSTATE   = 51002 SQLSTATE RETURN CODE
DSNT415I SQLERRP    = DSNXEPM SQL PROCEDURE DETECTING ERROR
    DSNT416I SQLERRD    = -251  0  0  -1  0  0 SQL DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION
    DSNT416I SQLERRD    = X'FFFFFF05'  X'00000000'  X'00000000'  X'FFFFFFFF'
             X'00000000'  X'00000000' SQL DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION

Actually, everything works fine with MVDB2, excepted that -805 messages are issued in DB2 and displayed by a monitoring product; therefore there are erroneous alerts in production

Is there something that can be done to eliminate the -805 messages?

    SOLUTION:

    Legacy ID:KA407394

Unfortunately, there is no work around for this situation. Many of the DB2 catalog tables were changed for the V10.1 release. The package itself has SQL specific to DB2 V10.1 and can only be bound while in new Function Mode.

As noted: although the SQL error messages occur, the Explain works fine.  So, the -805 error messages can be ignored for the PSS0SQL package.

This situation is temporary and will be eliminated as soon as DB2 V10 is upgraded to NFM mode.
