    PROBLEM:

    How to Add Fields to the Pop-up Window when Searching for Records on Lookup Field on Console on BMC Helix Remedyforce?


    SOLUTION:

     

    To add more fields to be displayed in the search box you would need to modify the field set "Column headers" of the desired object. (If the field set does not exist for the particular object this would be need to be created)

       How to add additional columns (Fields) to the lookups fieds search window (Pop-up):  
       
    1. Go to setup | Objects
    2.  
    3. Select desired object | Click Field Sets
    4.  
    5. Find and click edit for the Column Header field set
    6.  
    7. Add the desired field to be displayed and click save.
    8.  
    9. Go to the console search for a record on your lookup field and verify the new fields are displayed.
       Note: If you want to add columns for a Salesforce Object i.e. "user", you would need to search for the object on the quick find box, all data related to the object like field sets can be found there.
