"Error creating asset from Bar Code device. Bar Code synchronization application is not installed"

    PROBLEM:

    While attempting to synchronize the bar code scanner the following error may appear: Error Creating Asset from Bar Code Device. Additional Information Module.Inventory.085 Bar Code Synchronization Application is Not Installed


    SOLUTION:

    This error appears if the Bar Code application is not installed on the Technician Client machine.

                         
    The bar code synchronization application can be found in the following directory on the Track-It! server (default): C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\Track-It!\Track-It! Server\Installers\AssetScanning 
    Instructions:      
           
    1. Connect the bar code device to the computer where Track-It! is installed with the licensed Bar Code Solution.
    2.      
    3. Run the TIBarcodeWinCE_setup.exe
    4.      
    5. Click Next on the Welcome screen and follow the on-screen instructions.
    6.      
    7. When the installation completes, a confirmation message will appear and displays Launch PDA Installer.
    8.      
    9. Click Finish to start the installation of the bar code device application.
