    PRODUCT:

    TrueSight Capacity Optimization

    COMPONENT:

    TrueSight Capacity Optimization

    APPLIES TO:

    TrueSight Capacity Optimization 11.3, 11.0, 10.7, 10.5, 10.3, 10.0

    PROBLEM:

    While adding a service ETL to TrueSight Capacity Optimization (TSCO) the following message is reported:

      TSCO "Add ETL task" missing and ETL task error when trying to add ETL. BCO Error Data import is not allowed during POST-INSTALLATION phase.

    Please complete installation steps before continuing.'

    CAUSE:

    TSCO components installation was not completed post installation. This was because component_props set value in CO db was not updated and stuck at Product -Install-Finalize.

    SOLUTION:

    (1) Check the TSCO Web Application Server log ($CPITBASE/web/log/cpit.log) for messages related to the Post-Installation phase.  This will indicate which section of the Post-Installation phase has not been completed.

    For example:

    [POST-INSTALL/UPGRADE] DataHub installed but Service to check the environment is not working

    or

       [POST-INSTALL] Status OPERATIONAL_CONFIRM -- Post installation completed, need confirm from user

    or

    [POST-UPGRADE] Status UPGRADE_REBUILD_IDX_INPROGRESS -- Rebuild of the main index is in progress

    Depending on the message the problem could be that something needs to be corrected in the environment to allow the Post-Installation phase to run to successful completion.

    If the Post-Installation phase has completed successfully but the status has not been properly updated

    In order to fix the case, kindly follow these steps:

    Connect to TSCO Database to modify the component_props value to OPERATIONAL via the following SQL statements:

    up  date component_props set value='OPERATIONAL' where name ='system.operation.status' and COMPONENTID=-6;
    commit;

    And, Confirm the status by using below query and it is now   'OPERATIONAL'
    select * from component_props where name ='system.operation.status';

    Restart the TSCO services with the command
    ./cpit restart

    Logout and login again to TSCO Console and confirm that all is working properly now

    NOTE: Running update or delete SQL against the TSCO database can be dangerous if done incorrectly.  Contact TSCO Technical Support for assistance as necessary.

    For message [POST-INSTALL] Status OPERATIONAL_CONFIRM -- Post installation completed, need confirm from user

    Under Administration -> Home -> Welcome you should see a section saying that the Post-Installation phase has competed and there will be an OK button there.  Click that button to compete the Post-Installation process.
