    PRODUCT:

    Cloud Lifecycle Management

    COMPONENT:

    Cloud Lifecycle Management

    APPLIES TO:

BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 4.x release or higher

    PROBLEM:

When requesting a new instance for the VMWare vCloud Provider type from BMC Cloud End User Portal, provisioning fails with following error in %BMCCloudLifecycleManagement%/Platform_Manager/logs/csm.log file:

"errorCause" : "Error occurred while provisioning the vApp [vAppName] using vApp Template [vApp template name]. Unable to perform this action. Contact your cloud administrator."

Following is the error in vCloud Director for this vApp instance - "The operation failed because no suitable resources was found. Hub "Resources" doesn't have enough "No DR Protection"

    CAUSE:

VMWare vCloud Storage does not have sufficient free space

    SOLUTION:

    How to remediate:
    1. Verify in your VMWare vCloud provider if a target datastore has enough free space.
    2. Use another target datastore for this vApp provisioning if required.
