    SOLUTION:

    Legacy ID:KA410950

Job is stuck in "In Progress" state:

    • Check if this is a server group or a stand alone server
    •
    • Check the arerror.log, arcarte, plugin logs
    •
    • Most of the time, it turns out to be a configuration issue if there is a server group or RAPassword doesn't matching. Depending on the errors that are displayed in the logs you will need make the changes on the respective forms.
    •
    • Check if escalations are enabled
    •
    • Check if entry for Job is created in UDM:ExecutionStatus form
    •
    • On the Carte server, check if the Carte process is running: netstat -an | find "20000"
       Below are some common errors:

    1. Incorrect Server Configuration
If it is a single server, ensure it is not showing as a member of the server group in the 'Server Info' form, and the 'ar.cfg' file. If that's the case, please correct it both the places and restart of the server

    2. Other erros in arerror.log and arjavaplugin.log and resolution steps

    Solution:
Check the UDM:PermissionInfo form, UDM:Repository:Job, UDM:Repository:Step, UDM:Repository:Transformation, UDM:Import if the entry for the job that is executing and whether it is missing:
Follow the below step to populate the missing entry:

    1. Open spoon client on DEV server.
    2. Export the missing job and transformation one at a time (File> Export>To XML)
    3. Delete the job from the repository (Tools>Repository>Explore> Right Click > Delete, it will delete the transformation as well)
    4. File > Import form a XML File > Select the job > Open
    5. Click on Save as > OK (Click on Open File and check there if the entry is created)
    6. Check the UDM:PermissionInfo form to confirm that the job and transformation entries have been created

    //----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error in plugin : No Carte Server with name servername exists in UDM:Config form. (ARERR 8753)
    Tue Jun 03 18:36:39 2014 390626 : An application command failed. (ARERR 4554)
    Tue Jun 03 18:36:39 2014 Application-Delete-Entry "DMT:Action" 000000000002304

    Solution:
Check if the entry for  secondary server is not present in UDM:Config form. If not add it, then recreate the job.
    5) If there is any job which is already stuck in 'In-Progress' state then its Status will be 'In-Progress' only and that cannot be executed further. Also there is no method as such to prevent any job from getting stuck.
