CLM: Account validation errors for AWS (Amazon Web Services) when modifying/updating the user account credentials or after submitting the SOI request

    BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 4.6 Release or higher



    Scenario#1: User clicks on "Manage EC2 credentials" in the "Providers" workspace and updates the account credentials. Updating credential throws the following exception:


    ERROR (219009): (BMC-CLMT-40000010) Could not validate account in AWS. Cannot obtain valid AWS Client for account:<account name>. Please verify account info. (ARERR 219009)


    Scenario#2: Receive the following error when submitting a new service instance request:

    Failed to provision ec2 instances. Error: AWS was not able to validate the provided access credentials (Service: AmazonEC2; Status Code: 401; Error Code: AuthFailure; Request ID: 1afb608f-98d7-4659-8bcf-bc3285107070) 
    Action: Please make sure that AMI Resource Id is correct. 



    OS Clock is not in-sync between Platform Manager and AWS server



    Check the OS clock on Platform Manager; machine and set to the correct time and timezone


    Download command line interface utility from and use your access and shared key to validate your credentials.
