    PRODUCT:

    Cloud Lifecycle Management

    COMPONENT:

    Cloud Lifecycle Management

    APPLIES TO:

BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 4.x or higher

    PROBLEM:

BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management (CLM) Administration Console is not able to reflect/show any defined cluster resources that are defined in BladeLogic Server Automation. When attempted to view the Resources in Resource Workspace, Platform Manager is throwing the following error:

"There are no resource type- virtual cluster and provider BBSA ARWARN 210094"

    CAUSE:

Cache at Platform Manager or configuration issues at BladeLogic Server Automation

    SOLUTION:

Following configuration needs to be validated for Clusters to visible on BMC Cloud Administration Console:

    1) Check if DRS is enable at vCenter Server.

    2) BLAdmin password should not contain special characters.

    3) Port 10843 https port should be running on the BSA Application Server.

    4) Make sure enableWebServices is set to true in BSA for Config Server. Check via blasadmin utility of BladeLogic Server Automation.

    5) If not, set it to true and stop the Platform Manager services.

    6) Clear the contents from Cache (<installation directory>/BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement/Platform_Manager/cache) and Org.eclipse* (<installation directory>/BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement/Platform_Manager/configuration/org.eclipse.osgi) directory.

    7) Start the CSM services on Platform Manager server and wait for 15-20 minutes (based on number of attributes to be fetched from BSA) for BSA cache to complete.

    8) Clear the Midtier cache by accessing the Midtier Config tool (http://midTierHost:portNumber/arsys/shared/config/config.jsp).

    9) Choose architecture as x86 in onboarding Cluster wizard on BMC Cloud Administration Console

Note: BSA cache needs to complete for Clusters to visible on Cloud Administration Console.
