       How to enable LDstatus and PDstatus parameter? 
       
          
       
          


    ANSWER:

     

    We can activate both the parameters from developer console. As the both parameters are invisible, we can not activate it from the logical disk property or through Event Management KM. Below is the procedure to enable the parameters.

      
       

     

       

    To activate both parameters perform the below steps:

       

    For Patrol Classic Console:
    Steps:  (DEV MODE) for activating the LDStatus parameter in the PATROL Console CLASSIC.

       

    �       Open the Patrol Classic Console in the Dev mode.
    �       Add the Agent machine in which you want to active the LDStatus parameter.
    �       After successful addition of the Agent Machine go to the KM tab of the Console (classic).
    �       Drill down the NT_Logical_Disks_Container Application Class and explore the parameter folder. It would show two parameters  a) LDStatus b) LDLogicalDisksColl
    �       Right Click on the LDStatus and select the properties.
    �       In the properties window check the �Active� Check box and click on the �OK� button.
    �       Switch to the Desktop tab of the Console (Classic). Wait for next discovery cycle or force discovery.
    �       The LDStatus Parameter will be showing underneath of Logical Disk Application Class.

       

     

       

    Note:  Same procedure can be use for Physical Disk PDStatus parameter (for Dev mode only)

    If Using Patrol Central Operator then the following RULESET can be use for activating the LDStatus & PDStatus Parameter. 

       

    *Install the EM KM on PATROL Agent.
    *Add the following pconfig variables
    "/AS/EVENTSPRING/PARAM_SETTINGS/STATUSFLAGS/paramSettingsStatusFlag" = {             REPLACE = "2" },
    "/AS/EVENTSPRING/PARAM_SETTINGS/THRESHOLDS/NT_LOGICAL_DISKS_CONTAINER/NT_LOGICAL_DISKS_CONTAINER/LDStatus" ={             REPLACE = "1,1 0 1 0 0 0,1 1 1 0 0 2,0 0 0 0 0 0" } 
    "/AS/EVENTSPRING/PARAM_SETTINGS/THRESHOLDS/NT_PHYSICAL_DISKS_CONTAINER/NT_PHYSICAL_DISKS_CONTAINER/PDStatus" = {             REPLACE = "1,1 0 1 0 0 0,1 1 1 0 0 2,0 0 0 0 0 0" }
     

       

    The above RULESET will active both parameters.

       

    You will need to apply above rules using PCM, wpconfig or pconfig utility.

    Another workaround requires the manual change of some KM files, please refer to the following steps:

    -Stop Patrol Agent
    -Go to the $PATROL_HOME\lib\knowledge folder
    -Take a backup of the following 2 files:
    NT_LOGICAL_DISKS_CONTAINER.km
    NT_PHYSICAL_DISKS_CONTAINER.km

    -Edit the file and change following line in the "ACTIVE" to "True":

    For LDStatus in the NT_LOGICAL_DISKS_CONTAINER.km file:
    User-added image

    For the PDStatus in the NT_PHYSICAL_DISKS_CONTAINER.km file:
    User-added image

    -Save the Files
    -Start the Patrol Agent
