    QUESTION:

    Environment Details: BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 2.x, 3.x and 4.x

    In case of a failure in SOI, CLM will trigger the auto-decommissioning process, to release the resources allocated the VM and also decommission the VM from VC and BBSA.

    How to avoid the auto-decommissioning process, so that the VM does not removed from VC and BSA (BMC Server Automation?

    NOTE: This solution is supposed to be used only for troubleshooting the VM Failure scenarios.

      

    The following properties from providers.json file, on Platform Manager machine, can be set to false to disable the SOI rollback.

      

    "enableSOIRollback" to false and "BBSA_ENABLE_SOI_ROLLBACK" to false.

      

    Restart the CSM service (/etc/init.d/bmccsm start) for the settings to take effect.
