    QUESTION:

What TCP ports need to be open in the firewall between the Control-M for SAP and the SAP application server?

    ANSWER:

There are 2 TCP ports which need to be open between the Control-M for SAP and the SAP application server:

    1) SAP Gateway Port: 33<SYSNR>
    2) RFC (JCO) Port: 36<SYSNR>

where SYSNR represents the system number of the SAP Central Instance.
For example, if the SAP system number is 00, you must open port number 3300.

The ports should be open bidirectionally.
