    QUESTION:

BMC Middleware Administration shows different CCSID as expected, why ?

When browing messages on Mainfames BMM Admin shows a CCSID from distrubted platforms, but the real CCSID is supposed to be from MainFrame.

    Applies to:
    BMC Middleware Administration

    ANSWER:

    Legacy ID:KA422230

    Cause:

BMC Middleware Administration tries to display the messages in an end-user readable format, which is the reason why it displays messages in CCSID 819 generated on a mainframe which are actually CCSID 37.
You can display the real unconverted CCID and Encoding when you edit the message and click on the CONVERTED Button.

In BMC Middleware Administration 7.x, this CONVERT feature is only available when you edit the mesasage, not when browsing a queue.
