    Question 1)

       

     

       

    How to tell that failover occurred properly?

       

     

       

    Ans: 

       

     

       

    Option A)

       

     

       

    When failover occur please run below SQL statement on database to check which server own which operation

       

     

       

    #select * from servgrp_board;

       

     

       

    Its output

       

     

       

    Server_name                            port   intervalCount  pendigSignals   opFlags

       

     

       

    75p.pune-labs.bmc.com          9896        7                    0                 1;1;1;1; ;1;1;1;1;1;1;1;1;1

       

    75p1.pune-labs.bmc.com        9606        7                    0                 0;0;0;0; ;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0

       

     

       

    All 1 indicates 75p server is primary server and "0" indicates 75p1 is secondary server. This 1 are nothing but the all operations which are listed in Operation Ranking form.

       

     

       

    For example: Administrator, Assignment Engine, AIE etc...

       

     

       

     

       

    Option B)

       

     

       

    Enable ServerGroup logs from server information will help you to find which server is primary and which one is secondary.

    How to monitor which server is acting as the Admin Server?

       

     

       

     

       

    ANS: Run select * from servgrp_board; sql statement and always look for first "1" on opFlags column. First 1 is for Administrator. This will help you to find which server is admin server.

    Keep servergroup logs running, servergroup logs will help you to find which server own which operation.

       

     

       

    OR

       

     

       

    From developer studio login to individual server at the same time and try to create/modify form on each server. The server which shows "Administration operations are disabled on this server" error, indicates this is secondary server.
