    QUESTION:

    MainView for CICS 6.5.00

I'm using the Performance Reporter Language (PRL) to produce reports and I've found this problem: when using PRINT statement with continuation, a space is inserted on the report between each part.

a- PRL statements used as Input:

      SET CASE = 'MIXED'
      PRINT '******************************************123'-
       '456*****************************'

    b- PRL Report printed:

     ******************************************123 456*****************************

There is a space which has been inserted between 3 and 4, caused by the continuation. How to get rid of?

    ANSWER:

    Legacy ID:KA403017

As a circumvention, you can use variable concatenation. Here is an example:

      SET CASE = 'MIXED'
      SET V1 = '******************************************123'
      SET V2 = '456*****************************'
      SET V3 = '&V1.&V2.'
      PRINT V3

Using the above statements, you will have the following line printed on the RPL report:

     ******************************************123456*****************************
