    QUESTION:

Common Install - z/OS: All Versions

When running the OZI Decompress job, $B04DCMP, the following error may occur:

IEW2006S 0F07 USER PROGRAM HAS ABNORMALLY TERMINATED WITH ABEND CODE 06000000.

It can be accompanied by the following messages:-

IKJ56641I LOADGO   ENDED DUE TO ERROR+
IKJ56641I SYSTEM ABEND CODE 0103   REASON CODE 00000003

    ANSWER:

    Legacy ID:KA410836

These messages usually mean that there is a problem with the image file that was downloaded from the FTP site.

To correct the problem, browse the file and check that the last line in the file has "/*" present. That is the end of file marker and, if missing, will cause the decompress job to fail. If the file is corrupt or incomplete it will be necessary to download the file from the FTP site again.

Other possible causes of this error are:
    - the file was downloaded using ASCII instead of BINARY
    - the LRECL of the downloaded file is not correct (check that the DCB information has FB 80).
