    Is it a possible to let an LPAR in a SYSPLEX use a separate set of parameter members such as rule list/filter list/policies, and the other LPARs use another set of these members?

    ANSWER:

    Legacy ID:KA403530

    In SMMSYSxx, SMFUNCxx and SMVSCFxx member, you can use the SET ... INC FORSYSID= to set parameters value for a certain system.

    Below is an example of the SET statement in SMMSYSxx member:

    SET    FUNC=01
           POLI=01
    INC  FORSYSID=SYSA

    This SET statement will set SRM function member to SMFUNC01 and policy member to SMPOLI01 for system SYSA.

    Below is an example of the SET statement in SMFUNCxx member:

    SET      NAME=SPACVOLA    ACTIVE=YES    MSG=I  SMF=I
             FLST=01   RLST=01
             DESC='ADD VOLUMES TO AVOID X37'
    INC  FORSYSID=SYSA

    This SET statement will set SPACVOLA function active and filter member will be SMFLST01 and rule member will be SMRLST01 for system SYSA.

    Note that the INC FORSYSID statement must be the last statement for that SET.

    There are FORSMFID and FORPLEXNAME parameter that you can use as well, these parameters are described in the following tables on the  MainView SRM Reference Manual (for version 7.7.00 released in December 2011):

    •  Table 3 - INC/EXC statement parameter quick reference for SMMSYSxx
    •
    •  Table 13 - INC and EXC statement SMFUNCxx parameter
    •
    •  Table 18 - INC and EXC parameters used in the SMVSCFxx member on the MainView SRM Reference Manual.
