    How to create a Control-M/Tape report based on report based on Uncompressed Data?

    Legacy ID:KA422303

    The field you need to report uncompressed dataset size in CTTRPT output utility is DSSIZE.

    This field is documented in the manual:

    INCONTROL for z/OS Administrator Guide
    Appendix D Logical Field Names for the Control-M/Tape Repository
    .../...
    DSSIZE integer Uncompressed size in kilobytes DDSUSIZE
    .../...

    This filed is the result of the computing:
    (Block Size) * (Block Count) / 1024 rounded to upper value.

    BKSIZE integer Dataset's block size DDSBLK
    BLOCKCT integer Block count DDSBLKC

    Below is a sample JCL I wrote to print VOLSE DSNAME and Uncompressed dataset size.

    //CTTRPT EXEC CTTRPT,REGION=32M
    //*-
    //REPPARM DD UNIT=&WORKUNIT,SPACE=(TRK,(10,1)),
    // DISP=(NEW,CATLG),DSN=&REPPARM
    //DAFLDS DD UNIT=&WORKUNIT,SPACE=(TRK,(10,1)),
    // DISP=(NEW,CATLG),DSN=&DAFLDS
    //REPDATA DD UNIT=&WORKUNIT,SPACE=(CYL,(20,10)),
    // DISP=(NEW,CATLG),DSN=&REPDATA
    //PRINTOUT DD DISP=(NEW,CATLG),&SPACE,&ALLOC,DSN=&PRINTOUT
    //SYSIN DD *
    EXTRACT PATH=DATASET/ALLVOLUMES
    REPORT NAME=GENERAL,
    PAGESIZE=63,
    LINESIZE=080,
    SUMMARY=YES,
    OUTDD=PRINTOUT
    FIELDS DSVOLSER,
    DSNAME,
    DSSIZE
    SORTBY DSVOLSER,DSNAME

    In case you want the compressed dataset size you can use the field DCSIZE instead of DSSIZE.
