    QUESTION:

How to configure BCM to use a gmail email address?

    ANSWER:

Gmail has switched to TLS encryption only, which will prevent BCM to send/receive emails if you don't lower the security on your gmail account first.

    1) Configure gmail:
Google has to be configured to allow 'less secure connections'.

Connect to Gmail > Your profile > Sign-in & security > Signing in to Google, then:
    User-added image

    2) Configure the mail server into the BCM Console:
    - Go to Global Settings > System Variables
use smtp.gmail.com as the server name
    - Use port 587
    - Use tlsv1
    - Enable ‘Force Authentication':
    Email configuration
