    QUESTION:

In the utility CTMAPI, how to use JOB parameter in an "AJF HOLD" command?
It sometimes fails with error message: IOA723I API ENDED UNSUCCESSFULLY REASON  220

    ANSWER:

    1)
By default, the parameter JOB is populated when the job has been submitted, else only the MEM name can be used.

    Exemple:
When a JOB in AJF is in status WAIT_SCH, the following command:
    AJF    HOLD         JOB=jobname    IF STATUS=WAIT_SCH
    will return message:
IOA723I API ENDED UNSUCCESSFULLY REASON  220

    2)
To set the MEM name in the JOB name:
    - set the parameter JNMARORD=Y in section SUBMIT of PARM(CTMPARM)
    - reload the CTMPARM using the modify command: F CONTROLM,NEWPARM

    Sample CTMAPI sysout for SYSIN:

    AJF    HOLD         JOB=jobname    IF STATUS=WAIT_SCH
