Live Browse of targets gives error or system info shows error or incorrect results.  eg. Unexpected exception in the agent communication layer

    This doc is for sharing few of workarounds for cases like :-

     

     

    1. Users see errors while doing live browse of target like :  Unexpected exception in the agent communication layer

    or

    2. Users are not able to get correct data for any parameters like memory info or disk info from systeminfo navigation.

     

    or

     

    3. Hardware Info or systeminfo  navigation gives errors like above.

     

     

     

    Pointers on workaround :-

    -----------------------------------------

     

    1. --From BSA Console, go to servers -> target and right click and select de-register -> select matching CO as of RSCD version from list.

    check box select all matching COs, and select all system info or hardware info like COs.

     

    2. Now, once above step is completed,  from BSA Console, go to servers -> target and right click and select Register -> select matching CO as of RSCD version from list ONLY.  check box select all matching COs, and select only RSCD Versions matching CO (and NOT APPSERVER version MATCHING CO) for  system info or hardware info.

     

    3. --Restart RSCD agent.

     

    4. --Run Update Server Properties job for same RSCD.

     

    5. --Run "Verify" on this RSCD.  -- This is optional,redundant step, if step 4 is done properly.

     

    6. --Now, try to live browse this RSCD.

    7. --Checkout if you are able to browse all params in live browse.
