Clear out system log data on interface

    On the interface, you can view system log files, by going to Administration -> System -> Logs.

    The base search for these log files is the most recent systemlog file that is stored on the BMC FootPrints Service Core application server.

    Once the file reaches s size of approximately 1 - 1.5 MB, the filename is modified with a datetime stamp, and a new systemlog file is started.

    These "archived" files are stored for 7 days and then automatically purged.

    If you checked the box to Scan archived log files when viewing the System Logs, then these files with the datetime stamps will also be included.

    You can limit the number of files that are scanned by limiting the days in which data will be returned.

    If you wish to clear out the files that appear on the interface, you will need to delete the files that are stored on the BMC FootPrints Service Core application server.
