TrueSight Synthetic Silk Performer Script will not replay in Chrome Browser.  Warning in Truelog says "BrowserEngine: 38 - Unsupported browser version, The used browser version is not officially supported. The latest supported"

    Silk Performer 19.5 and newer TEA Agent 11.3.02 and newer



    PROBLEM:

     

    Silk Performer scripts will not replay on newer versions of Chrome.  The Synthetic Truelog returns the following warning

      

    BrowserStart(BrowserEngine: 38 - Unsupported browser version, The used browser version is not officially supported. The latest supported version is xx.)

    SOLUTION:

     

    Silk Performer does not update the Chrome drivers each time that Chrome is updated.  To workaround this issue, please follow the below steps:

    1.  Close the Silk Performer Workbench  

    2.  Stop the Silk Launcher Service (services.msc) 

    3.  Locate the correct driver version and download it from this site:  
    https://chromedriver.storage.googleapis.com/index.html 

    4.  Browse to: (#.# is the version of Silk Performer that is currently being used by the TEA Agent)          
    \Silk\Silk Performer #.#\BrowserDrivers\WebDrivers\Windows\Chrome 
     
    5.  Create a folder and name it as the version number.  Below is an example of a folder name:
    77.0.3865.40    
        
    6.  Copy the downloaded chrome driver executable into this newly created folder.     
        
    7.  Browse to:
    \Silk\Silk Performer #.#\BrowserDrivers\WebDrivers\Common\Config\Chrome 
     
    8.  Open the Chrome.properties file and add mapping for the Chrome Version (Note- this file needs to be opened in Notepad as an administrator): 
    i.e.:   
    77=77.0.3865.40 
     
    9.  Restart the Silk Launcher Service and rerun the script
