    QUESTION:

Mainview for DB2 – Page Set Information

How can you tell if you are collecting Page Set information?

    ANSWER:

MV/Db2 has a menu of information it can gather around Db2 page sets:

There is a command you can enter from any MV/Db2 view: SHOWPS
This will tell you if are collecting page set data or not.
Note: it is a target-based command, you must set a context of a single db2 target first.

A MV parameter controls the collection of page set information. In the DMRBEXxx member of PARMLIB there is a PAGESET parameter:

PAGESET=                       YES/NO   DISABLE PAGESET PROCESSING AT BBI-SS PAS
INITIALIZATION. CAN BE TURNED ON/OFF USING
STOPPS, STARTPS OR SHOWED USING SHOWPS
                                              COMMAND IN ANY MVDB2 VIEW.
